I have not been painting for a long time, but art has been a part of my life since a child. My BA is in Art History and Ceramics. I lived in Southeast Asia for a number of years and when I returned I needed a new direction in my life. Since receiving my Masters of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in 2002, I have been doing mostly “en plein-air” painting, which is French for outdoors. Not having a studio, the great outdoors became my studio. It is a wonderful place to be! With my French easel, backpack and a canvas bag I can paint in almost any place with a great view. On this website you will see a variety of styles and subject matter, yet landscapes remains my first love. I guess I am an experimenter my nature. As I mature in my painting I have begun to experiment with new ways of doing things. Some of my paintings I have done solely with a palette knife some with brush and palette knife. I hope you will visit my website from time to time to see my new experiments in landscape painting. |
